Rich was a professional athlete for 21 years, supported by Nike™, Gatorade™, and the British Olympic World Class Performance Program, among others. Over the course of his career, he won 9x National Pro Championship titles, earned 7x Ironman™ event Pro podium finishes, and secured 2x U21 World Championship silver medals. Rich also claimed professional victories at iconic events including the London Triathlon, Ironman™ 70.3 UK, and Powerman™ UK. He remains the only British triathlete in history [male or female] to have won National Pro Championship titles across Sprint, Olympic, and Long Distance triathlon, as well as Duathlon. Rich proudly represented Team Scotland at the Manchester Commonwealth Games, and Team Great Britain at the Sydney Olympic Games [DNS]. Having retired from professional sports in 2013, Rich successfully transitioned into business leadership, serving as Head of Brand Partnerships for the NASCAR™ #98 motorsports team and as Executive Director of the Professional Triathletes Organization. As an entrepreneur he later became the exclusive US distributor of Zone3™ triathlon gear and went on to found and serve as CEO of Stingray™, a lifestyle gear brand. Stingray™ became renowned for its support of four marine life conservation charities the Navy SEAL Foundation, and regular beach clean ups. Rich sold the Stingray™ brand assets in 2023, and having completed several sales consulting roles, he now focuses on his two passions; helping high performers achieve excellence, and elite athlete mental health advocacy.
